iBeam Overlay Adapter

The iBEAM Overlay Adapter has been created for the Medical Intelligence iBEAM® and iBEAM EVO couchtops. CIVCO’s iBEAM Overlay Adapter increases clinical options for their MI couchtops. Many of CIVCO’s H&N devices can be used with the Adapter, including thermoplastic masks, the Individual Head Support and AccuForm™ cushions. The iBEAM Overlay Adapter can be used with or without the Hexapod® 6 DOF system and features a sturdy, unique locking mechanism and simple indexing.
Two models of the plate are available, allowing clinicians to choose between the Type-S™ and Posifix® models. The different models are designed to support either the Type-S™ or the Posifix® line of products. The carbon fiber overlay is cantilevered, providing minimal attenuation in the area of treatment. Further, CIVCO’s iBEAM Overlay Adapter allows IMRT in the H&N region over the full 360° gantry rotation. The Type-S model is shown here.
